About Us
Offshore Sportsbooks is an independent comparison site for US bettors who are weighing offshore sportsbooks. This page explains what we do, how we research and rate each site, how we earn money, and why we keep stressing the risks. Fact-check date for the information below: Sep 30, 2026.
Age and eligibility: You must be at least 21 years old (or the legal minimum age where you live, and in some cases the sportsbook's own minimum) to bet. Nothing on this site is meant for anyone younger. If gambling is causing you harm, call 1-800-GAMBLER. More support is on our Responsible Gambling page.
What this site is for
Many readers come to us because their state has no legal, regulated online sportsbook. Others want higher betting limits, markets that US betting sites restrict, reduced juice, or a place to bet after being limited elsewhere. We compare offshore sportsbooks that accept US players so you can see the trade-offs before you deposit anything.
We assume you already know how betting works: point spreads, moneylines, totals, futures, parlays, prop bets and live betting. We focus on what separates one site from another instead.
Where offshore betting stands legally
Offshore sportsbooks are licensed outside the US, typically in places such as Curaçao, Panama or Costa Rica. Accepting US players does not mean a site is authorized by any US state gaming commission or board. Their status for US bettors is a legal grey area.
- No US state regulation applies, so state protections do not apply either.
- That means no state-backed dispute resolution, no guarantee that funds are segregated, and no guarantee of payment.
- Rules differ from state to state. Check your own state's laws, and consult a qualified professional for legal or tax questions.
- Offshore sites may lack the self-exclusion and deposit-limit tools that regulated operators must provide.
An offshore sportsbook may delay or refuse a withdrawal, and we cannot force one to pay. Bet only money you can afford to lose.
How we rate offshore sportsbooks
Our ratings are editorial scores, not customer-review scores. They come from desk research: reading each sportsbook's published terms, checking what it advertises, and comparing that against public reputation. We have not claimed to deposit, bet or withdraw at these sites, and we do not publish tested payout times. Where a figure is advertised, we say so.
| Factor | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Odds and pricing | Spreads, moneylines, totals and whether reduced juice is offered |
| Market coverage | NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, soccer, golf, MMA, horse racing and racebooks, props, SGPs and live betting |
| Bonuses | Welcome, sign-up and reload offers, with rollover, minimum odds and time limits |
| Banking | Crypto, bank card deposits, bank wire, money transfer and vouchers; fees and payout limits |
| Payouts and reliability | Advertised payout speed, reputation and track record of paying |
| Trust and security | Stated licensing, site security, KYC requirements and customer support |
| Mobile | Betting apps or mobile browser experience |
We do not treat a stated licence as proof of safety. Payment methods also vary by site and state, so verify availability before you rely on one.
How we make money, and why it doesn't buy rankings
We may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this site. Commission does not buy position. Ranks follow our criteria, and operators cannot pay to change a rating.
Our current top-rated sites, in order, are Lucky Rebel, Bovada, BetOnline, BetNow and Everygame, followed by BetUS, Sportsbetting, Xbet, MyBookie and ApuestaHoy. The ranked cards on each page show the current offer for each one.
A note on bonuses
Bonus headlines tell you little without the terms. Before accepting any welcome or reload offer, check the rollover or wagering requirement, minimum odds, time limit, eligible payment methods and maximum payout. Some offers require a deposit, and some depend on the method you use, such as a credit card. A bonus is not free money, and chasing one is a poor reason to deposit.
Crypto and other risks we flag
Cryptocurrency betting is popular for advertised fast payouts and lighter verification, but crypto prices can swing between deposit and withdrawal. Withdrawal fees, payout limits and KYC checks can still apply. We point these out wherever they are relevant.
Our standards
- We do not guarantee winnings, and we do not call any pick a lock.
- We do not present betting as income or as a fix for money problems.
- We show risks alongside every recommendation.
- We correct errors when we find them.
